Lessons Learned

Never touch a hot stove!
we caution our children.

Don’t run with sharp scissors!
we yelp.

Choose your friends wisely!
we counsel.

Don’t talk to strangers!
we harp.

Just say “No” to drugs!
We plead.

Seat belts are required!
Our government directs.

Smoking is harmful to health!
Our scientists inform.

“Father, I cannot tell a lie!”
A child president declares.

“Covid is nothing but a hoax!”
Our 45th president lied.

Many were fooled
And many have perished.
